Nutrition Counseling

Nutrition counseling provides the opportunity for an individualized session to discuss your questions and concerns regarding nourishing your body and can involve meal planning, specific recommendations regarding intake, recommendations for a nutrition related health concern, eating disorder or disordered eating recovery.

Anna is a registered dietitian committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make decisions that support their long-term wellbeing. She is especially passionate about supporting clients in recovery from eating disorders and disordered eating. She integrates HAES and Intuitive Eating principles to support clients in letting go of rigid food rules and cultivating a positive, guilt-free approach to eating. Anna recognizes that each client’s goals and needs are different. She believes in using a collaborative approach to honor each client’s lived experience and tailor nutrition care to their values and journey.

Anna has experience supporting pediatric and adult clients throughout different stages of eating disorder recovery including inpatient, residential, and outpatient levels of care. She also loves working with athletes and active individuals who want to feel their best in training and daily life. Peak performance requires more than just pushing through: Anna uses a targeted and flexible approach to sports nutrition to help clients become the strongest, healthiest versions of themselves.

Anna was born and raised in Connecticut and moved to Chicago to pursue a professional ballet career. Maddie is a compassionate registered and licensed dietitian committed to empowering individuals through sustainable, personalized care. She focuses on a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach, recognizing that wellness is not one-size-fits-all. With an understanding of the challenges many face navigating nutrition in today’s world, Maddie focuses on equipping clients with practical skills and knowledge that support lifelong wellness so they can feel like their best self.

Maddie earned her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Appalachian State University. She has experience working in college dining services, where she specialized in culinary dietetics and provided nutrition care to college students. Maddie has supported clients across diverse areas, including food allergies, sports nutrition, and gastrointestinal health. Her approach is centered on individuality, addressing root causes, and behavior change. Danielle is a Chicago-based registered dietitian who is passionate about helping people build a sustainable relationship with food. She completed her dietetic internship at the Department of State Hospitals in Napa, California, with a focus on mental health nutrition, and recently earned her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is also currently working toward becoming a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.

Danielle brings a wide range of experience to her work, including supporting teens in juvenile detention, managing a K–12 school nutrition program, and working with clients across various levels of psychiatric care. She is committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care to individuals of all identities and backgrounds, including the LGBTQIA+ community.

With a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, Danielle works thoughtfully to create a safe and supportive space for each client. She has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals and brings a realistic, flexible approach to nutrition—meeting clients where they are and embracing the ups and downs of treatment with compassion, humor, and patience. He has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating eating disorders and disordered eating, using trauma-informed care and the HAES (health at every size) method. Lane is committed to fostering a safe, welcoming environment for all demographics, with a special dedication to the LGBTQIA+ community. Karena is a registered dietitian committed to fostering a compassionate and supportive atmosphere where clients feel truly understood and cared for at every stage of their wellness journey.

With experience across residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings, Karena has worked with adults, adolescents, and families facing eating disorders. She follows a non-diet approach that transcends societal norms, prioritizing both emotional and physical health. Karena’s philosophy is rooted in a weight-neutral, trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that wellness is a complex and individualized path. Her focus includes cultivating mindful eating habits, embracing joyful movement, breaking down food-related stigmas, and empowering clients to uncover their core nutrition values.

Beyond eating disorder care, Karena supports individuals with blood sugar management, cardiovascular wellness, general health concerns, and vegan/vegetarian nutrition. Maria is a Chicago-based registered and licensed dietitian who works with clients to help them achieve their personal health and wellness goals through a client-led, intuitive eating approach. She is passionate about meeting her clients where they are while making them feel empowered and supported. Maria is a firm believer that every individual has their own, unique nutrition needs, rejecting diet culture trends and one size fits all concepts. Instead, she provides individualized, evidence-based education and one-to-one nutrition counseling in order to improve her clients’ relationships with food and help them find peace in their bodies.

Maria graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her Bachelors in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics. She then went on to complete a dietetic internship where she had rotations in clinical, community, food service, and business and entrepreneurship settings. Prior to joining the Healthier Tomorrows team, Maria worked as an inpatient clinical dietitian, where she gained experience in diabetes management, cardiovascular health, oncology, and gastrointestinal diseases.

Outside of working as a dietitian, Maria enjoys practicing yoga, trying out new recipes to cook, spending time with her friends and family, and exploring new neighborhoods in the city.
